Reseller listing health guide

Refresh stale listings from current evidence.

Find the item, verify its facts, improve weak evidence, recalculate the offer, and confirm every marketplace action.

Follow the refresh workflow

Six practical steps

Review the product before changing the offer.

  1. 1
    Step 1

    Define what counts as stale

Choose a review window for your category and business. Listing age alone does not prove a problem, so consider views, offers, watchers, seasonality, quantity, and recent comparable sales where available.

  2. 2
    Step 2

    Verify the physical inventory

Locate the item by SKU and storage location, confirm quantity and included pieces, and inspect current condition before changing a listing.

  3. 3
    Step 3

    Recheck product facts

Confirm brand, model, size, measurements, material, identifiers, compatibility, condition, and item specifics from reliable evidence. Remove anything that cannot be supported.

  4. 4
    Step 4

    Review the photo set

Replace unclear, low-resolution, duplicate, outdated, or incomplete images. Show the actual item, labels, identifiers, important details, included pieces, and every observed flaw.

  5. 5
    Step 5

    Reassess price and shipping

Compare closely matched sold items and recalculate fees, packaging, shipping, offers, returns, and target profit. Include expected fulfillment cost in the item price when shipping is buyer-facing as free.

  6. 6
    Step 6

    Choose and confirm the action

Keep, revise, promote, move, end, relist, bundle, liquidate, or archive based on evidence. After any marketplace action, verify the new listing ID, status, quantity, and links.

Signals that deserve review

Inventory mismatch
The item cannot be found, quantity is wrong, pieces are missing, or the physical condition no longer matches the listing.
Weak product data
The title, category, item specifics, measurements, identifiers, or description omit confirmed buyer-useful facts.
Photo gaps
The set lacks clear full-item views, labels, scale, included pieces, measurements, or condition evidence.
Offer mismatch
The price, shipping, returns, quantity, or marketplace settings no longer fit current costs or seller strategy.
Status exception
A listing is ended, duplicated, unsynced, needs attention, or has an unexpected marketplace state.

Relisting changes the marketplace record

An ended and relisted item may receive a new marketplace listing ID. Preserve the old reference, connect the new one to the same verified product, and confirm quantity and status before continuing.

Frequently asked questions

Stale listing questions

How old should a listing be before it is refreshed?

There is no universal age. Review windows depend on category, seasonality, demand, price, inventory strategy, and marketplace behavior. Use listing age as a prompt for evidence-based review, not an automatic verdict.

Should stale listings always be ended and relisted?

No. Some need better photos, accurate item specifics, a price or shipping change, seasonal timing, another marketplace, or no change at all. Review the physical item and current evidence first.

Does refreshing a listing guarantee a sale?

No. Demand, competition, price, condition, seasonality, marketplace exposure, shipping, and buyer preferences all affect outcomes.

Can Inzoly bulk end and relist stale items automatically?

Not yet as a complete user-facing workflow. Inzoly can organize products, listings, statuses, quantities, and items needing attention. Broader seller-approved bulk end-and-relist automation remains planned.
